Andrew Blunt is the head professional at Seaham Golf Club. With the able assistance of his dad Peter and staff, the service offered is second to none for both members and visitors. The business is now so extensive that there is no longer any reason for any Member to ‘need’ to look anywhere else for equipment.
Any proposed equipment purchases may be tried in The Golf Studio on the simulator which takes the guesswork out of buying new equipment.
This rapid growth obviously has come from good footfall through the shop but also the continuous growth of Andrews’ internet business.

The following is a brief description of the range of services available:
Equipment
A wide range of golfing equipment and accessories from the likes of Taylor Made, Callaway, Mizuno, Cobra, Wilson, Titleist, Powakaddy… are available but if you require an item which is currently not in stock he will do his utmost to obtain it in a short period of time.
Custom Fit
An important factor when purchasing of a new set of clubs, Custom Fit has now gone beyond length and loft angles. Consideration is now given to shaft length, shaft flex, lie angle, loft angle, grip size, grip style, and set makeup (whether it be 3 iron – SW, hybrid 3 & 4 iron – SW, 7 wood, Hybrid 4 & 5 – SW…).
When deciding on a new set or just one club, call into the Pro shop to get the correct fit for you and try them out on the Simulator in The Golf Studio first.
Repairs
A fast, effective and extensive repair service is in operation. The regripping service is a ‘ready next day’ service (time restraints allowing). Other repairs may take a little longer but will still be ready in a realistic period of time.
A new addition to the repair section is the refurbishment of woods which is well worth it to revitalise your old battered woods that you love !
Coaching
In his time as a coach, Andrew has built up a sound teaching technique which will be helpful for the majority of golfers. It is very simplistic so people can take on board all of the technicalities of the golf swing but without all of the scientific jargon.
Coaching sessions –
1/2 hr Gents or Ladies – £20
1/2 hr Juniors under 18 – £10
The Golf Studio is used for much of the Coaching, so no worries about poor weather conditions.
