LOCAL RULES

1.        Out of Bounds (Rule 2.1)

(a)     Beyond any of the fences forming the course boundaries.

(b)     Beyond the line of white stakes adjacent to the boundary fence on the 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th holes.

(c)      Beyond the line of white posts to the right side of the 9th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th and 18th holes, to the left side of the 16th hole and the rear of the 6th, 8th, 9th, 15th, 17th and 18th greens.

(d)     The Car park, Clubhouse, Professional’s Shop and all paved areas in the surrounding area.

2.        Penalty Areas (Rule 17)

All Penalty areas are defined by Red Stakes; relief must be taken in accordance with Rule 17.1d.

3.        Abnormal Course Conditions (Rule 16)

(a)     When playing the 3rd hole the white stakes defining Out of Bounds for the 16th hole are deemed Abnormal Course Conditions. Relief without penalty may be taken – Rule 16.1.

(b)     Fixed sprinkler heads and manhole covers are treated as Abnormal Course Conditions. Relief without penalty may be taken – Rule 16.1.

(c)      All paths with artificial surfaces, Walls on 1st and 7th teeing areas, Bridges, Seats, Bells and Winter Tee Platforms are treated as Abnormal Course Conditions. Relief without penalty may be taken – Rule 16.1.

(d)     Protection of young trees identified by stakes. If such a tree interferes with a player’s stance, or the area of intended swing, the player MUST take relief. Relief without penalty may be taken – Rule 16.1.

4.        No Play Zone (Rule 2.4)

(a)     All areas marked by Blue Stakes are designated as No Play Zones and relief must be taken in accordance with Rule 16.1

5.        Practise (Rule 5)

(a)     Practice is permitted on the day of a stroke play competition, or between rounds, on the practice putting green and also within the practice chipping area adjacent to the 2nd teeing ground.

(b)     During normal play the practice putting/chipping areas are wrong greens and Rule 13.1f applies.

 

Penalty for Breach of Local Rule – General Penalty

Stroke Play – Two Strokes; Match Play – Loss of Hole.

 

Distance Markers

White Markers on the Fairway are 200yds from the centre of the green.

Yellow Markers on the Fairway are 150yds from the centre of the green.

Red Markers on the Fairway are 100yds from the centre of the green.
