10th September

In the last game of the Red Zone Rabbits League at Ravensworth we came a creditable 4th.  Top scorers for Seaham being S Sowerby (1st) and S Turns (2nd) - well done to them.  Also to the last three Seaham players Brian Nicholson, John Whitehead and Bobby Arthur who completed their rounds playing the last 5 holes in monsoon conditions.

So overall after a good start early in the season we ended 5th out of 8 in the League, disappointing but not to bad as we had to miss one game due to holiday commitments and our Captains Day.  Our overall best 3 scores player to represent Seaham at finals day at Woodham in the individual event is David Napier we wish Dave well on the day.

The last last game of the season at Durham City needed Team Seaham to win 8-6 or better to pip leaders Durham City to the First Division Title and hoping Heworth did not pick up a score at Boldon. A season that promised so much while leading the Division for long periods ended in disappointment mainly due to work, holiday commitments and injuries at the end of the season being critical, but overall a great effort by team.
